Day 1 • Dubrovnik
Arrival in Dubrovnik APT. Meeting with your driver and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. (D)
Day 2 • Dubrovnik
After breakfast, transfer to the Old city where you will enjoy in having a walking tour (your guide) that includes; City walls – The walls and its fortresses and towers are works of art; they undulate around Old Town in a protective embrace, creating an architectural frame for the historic city like none other. Lunch on your own. Afternoon is free for leisure and exploring the city on own. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 3 • Dubrovnik / Cavtat / Dubrovnik
After breakfast, transfer to Cavtat where the guests can enjoy in visit on their own. Cavtat is the ancient Epidaurum of the Adriatic – predecessor to Dubrovnik, a medieval town, built on the southern slopes of a peninsula with two gentle shores. Cavtat is a town that offers to its visitor so much on such a restricted area. The beauties of nature, a rich cultural and historical inheritance and a tourist offer in conformity with the requests of the most demanding visitors are making it one of the most attractive tourist destinations on the Croatian Adriatic. There is a house of famous Croatian painter, Vlaho Bukovac and Mausoleum of Racic family. Lunch on your own. Afternoon transfer back to Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 4 • Dubrovnik / Split
After breakfast transfer to Split. En route we pause in Makarska for a break and lunch (on own) and photo. Arrival in Split. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 5 • Split
After breakfast transfer to the city center and meeting with the guide for a half day visit tour.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage City, Split is a city full of remnants of the ancient Roman Empire’s dominance over this region. The Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace is Split’s most famous landmark. With the palace walls extending throughout the city, many residents still live in old towers and houses from the 17th Century. Lunch on your own. Afternoon is free. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 6 • Split / Trogir / Split
After breakfast transfer to the medieval town of Trogir, the UNESCO World Heritage city; Trogir is a remarkable example of urban continuity. Its beautiful Romanesque churches are complemented by the outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the Venetian period. After visit with the guide, free time for your own activities before transfer back to Split.
Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 7 • Split / Plitvice Lakes / Opatija
After breakfast, transfer to National Lake Plitvice. Upon arrival lunch on your own and meeting with the local guide for a half day tour of the lakes. Plitvice National Park is listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage list, one can enjoy breath taking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes, surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. Then we depart for Opatija, once the favourite resort of the European royalty. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 8 • Opatija
Full day at leisure in Opatija.
Day 9 • Opatija / Pula / Rovinj
After breakfast transfer to Rovinj. We stop at Pula for a lunch on your own and then to Rovinj. One of the most ‘photogenic’ towns in the Mediterranean, once a fishing town, today is a tourist resort. Rovinj has long been known as the town with favorable and beneficial climatic features. So, today its people are still proud of this long tradition and ‘fight’ for the title of ‘healthy town’… The rest is nature’s work. The entire coastline, with its twenty-two islands is an area of protected natural heritage. A visit to the Rovinj-Rovigno Town Museum and the town’s many galleries will complete your cultural experience. Its surroundings offer immense possibilities for recreation: biking, horseback riding, jogging. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 10 • Rovinj
Free days for your own activities. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel.
Day 11 • Rovinj / Postojna / Bled Lake
After breakfast, transfer to Postojna cave where we will have a half day visit with the local guide; The Postojna Cave is a true beauty and you need no special preparations to visit it: you only need an anorak and warm footwear, the temperature inside the cave is namely constant: 10 °C. A larger part of wonderful halls, stalactites and stalagmites are seen during an exciting ride with the electric cave train, and some other halls and passages abundant with flowstone formations are seen during a walk with the guide. Lunch on your own. After visit we continue to Bled Lake and have a dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 12 • Bled Lake
After breakfast we meet with the local guide and start half day tour that includes Castle Bled (entrance) according to written sources, the oldest castle in Slovenia, first mentioned in a 1011 donation deed as castellum Veldes. Perched atop a steep cliff rising 130 meters above the glacial Lake Bled is a symbol of Bled and Slovenia – Bled Castle. The image of the castle forming a dramatic backdrop to the romantic island and the church on it has earned the resort worldwide recognition through the centuries. Castle terraces offer spectacular views of the lake and the island, down the Dezela area with Lesce and Radovljica and over to the mountain ranges of the Karavanke and the Julian Alps. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 13 • Bled / Ljubljana / Zagreb
After breakfast transfer to Ljubljana were we pause for a lunch and visit on your own. Then we proceed to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Zagreb.
Day 14 • Zagreb
After breakfast meeting with the local guide and walking tour of Zagreb’s historic Upper and Lower town; Upper town is on a high plateau above Lower town and home to Zagreb’s Cathedral and parliament building. Lower town is a more modern area known for museums and the Croatian National Theatre. Square Ban Jelacic’s is the main square where the Upper and Lower Towns meet. Away from the city center, Zagreb loses some of its appeal, as 20th Century apartment blocks consume the landscape. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 15 • Zagreb / Trakoscan / Zagreb
After breakfast we take a day trip to castle at Trakoscan (entrance included), Castle Trakoscan’s cultural heritage, is protected as a historical entity, which consists of the castle, the building next to the castle, park and forest park with a lake. Today the castle is one of the few facilities in Croatia with preserved its own constitution, historically closely related to the architectural framework and the life of its owners. Then we have a lunch at the charming little town of Varazdin in the restaurant ‘Gold hands’ Zlatne Ruke. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 16 • Zagreb
Check out from the hotel and meeting with the driver in front of the hotel for the transfer to Zagreb airport.
